Happy birthday Wally! I made his cake today. I asked him a few days ago what kind of cake he wanted and he said "I don't know...The Enterprise!" So this is what I came up with. The ship and planet are fondant, and planet Jupiter is hand painted, though he thought it was Mars, go figure. The cake was a lemon cake with a blueberry filling, two of his favourite flavours.

Day 352
Today I made a cake for Ryan's school Christmas lunch tomorrow. It's vanilla cake with a raspberry filling. I had the idea for this cake in my head for a few weeks and I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

Day 329
I spent about 10 hours making and baking this cake for Ryan's birthday party tomorrow. He requested a "Cloudy with a chance of meatballs" cake. The "meatball" is a chocolate covered rice krispie treat, the top layer is vanilla and the bottom is chocolate fudge, both filled with cream cheese icing.

Day 315
Here is a cake I made today for a San José Sharks fan. Not getting any crumbs in that white icing was a serious pain in the butt. Even though I put a crumb coat on first to seal in any stray crumbs, every time I smoothed out a section, another crumb seemed to pop out. I was in there with my special tweezers picking them out and re-smoothing. It took forever!

Day 287
I had to make a birthday cake today so I dropped Alex of at daycare so he wouldn't be in my way today. The last thing I need is him yelling "Cake!" and trying to stick his fingers in it. On the road there we saw this trailed that fell into thew ditch and lost his load.
I got a request for a chihuahua birthday cake and this is the result. It took about 5 hours of non stop baking and decorating to make it. Sometimes I wish I could sneak a piece of these cakes...so tempting!
